Dr Shapour Sabbaghi-Sarabi, Principal Dentist

Dr Sarabi received his Bachelor’s degree in dental surgery alongside his diploma in dental implants from Aarhus University (Denmark) in 2001. He has furthered his knowledge by receiving a Masters degree in Implantology from the University of Warwick.

Dr Sarabi is one of the leading implant dentists in Oxfordshire. During the years, due to his exceptional success rate and theoretical knowledge, he has become one the most sought after implant dentist for implant referrals in Oxfordshire.

Dr Sarabi has placed over a 1000 dental implants in the last 17 years and carried out hundreds of complicated bone augmentation procedures. He is experienced in full mouth reconstructions, sinus elevations and bone regeneration treatments.

Since then, he has attended many courses to give him a wealth of knowledge and confidence to successfully carry out a wide range of treatments from a simple maintenance programme to a full mouth rehabilitation.

In his free time he enjoys keeping active at the gym, walking his dog and spending time with his family.


Dr Carmen Pop, General Dentistry Associate
GDC No. 110196, DMD West

Dr Pop studied dentistry at West University in Romania and qualified in 2003 as a dental surgeon. She has been living and working in the UK since.

Dr Pop has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry and facial aesthetics. She has completed several advanced courses in aesthetic and restorative dentistry and has a special interest in pediatric dentistry. Dr Pop is a qualified provider in Invisalign and Inman aligners, and also a member of the General Dental Council and the British Dental Association.

As a general dentist, she enjoys all aspects of dentistry and particularly likes meeting different people every day. Carmen believes collaboration is the only way to get the best results; this means listening to the patients and then working with the team to achieve the very best that can be achieved.

Outside the practice, Carmen enjoys sports, travelling, dancing and spending time with her family (not necessarily in that order!)


Mr Peter Yesudian, Consultant Oral Surgeon
GDC No. 71804 (Glasg) 1996

I graduated from the University of Glasgow and spent one year in general dental practice in Warwickshire. In 1997, I joined the Oral Surgery Department of Princess Margaret Hospital as Senior House Officer.

In 1999, I worked for 6 months as a volunteer dentist in Trinidad, as well as the interior of Guyana, in South America.

In 2001, I was awarded the post-graduate degree of MFDS at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Glasgow. Now a Fellow at the College & on the Oral Surgery Specialist Register held by the GDC.


Caroline Bucerzan, Hygienist
GDC No. 4395

I started my dental career in Dublin Dental Hospital and then gained my Diploma in Dental Hygiene in 1993 at the Glasgow Dental Hospital and School.

I joined the practice in 2007 and have built up a strong rapport with the patients.

I take part in regular continual professional development.


Sophia Struenker, General Manager

I have been working as a Practice Manager for many years and enjoy working as a part of the team at Lechlade Dental Practice.

I have been working as a dental nurse for 12 years and passed my dental nursing examination (NEBDN) in 2010. I am also a member of the General Dental Council.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my children and going to the gym.


Emma, Practice Manager

I have been working as a receptionist / dental nurse alongside Shapour since 2014 and joined Lechlade Dental Practice in March 2015. I enjoy looking after our patients and aim to be as helpful as possible when it comes to treatment planning. My role is to go through prices and timelines of treatment as well as answering any other questions patients may have.

I have completed my National Diploma of Dental Nursing and am a member of the General Dental Council.

In my free time I enjoy being active and spending time with my friends and family


Holly, Dental Nurse

I started my dental nursing career in 2009, qualifying in 2010. I have also completed 3 post qualification courses in Dental Radiography, Dental Impression Taking and Orthodontic Dental Nursing. I am a member of the General Dental Council.

I am very passionate about my role in the dental field and enjoy helping every patient to have the best possible dental experience.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and taking my 2 dogs for long walks in the countryside.



Lesley, Hygienist GDC No: 113145

Lesley qualified in 2007 from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene. She was serving in the RAF as a dental hygienist and expanded her portfolio by becoming a dental hygiene instructor at the Military Training Establishment. She left the RAF in 2015 and has been working in private dental practices. She focuses her treatment as being both effective and comfortable and feels that patient education is a large component of treatment. When she is not at work, she spends most of her time with her small children.


Lechlade Dental Practice is situated in the centre of Lechlade. We have two surgeries, both equipped with state-of-the-art equipment.


Parking facilities are available at the front of the property.



We have one ground floor surgery for our physically disabled patients. Please let us know in advance if you have a problem with stairs, and we will ensure that you are given an appointment in the ground floor treatment room.


Our Patient Charter is a statement of how our Dental Practice operates and the standards of care that we apply to all our patients.


  • To listen to your dental problems and to give you an explanation of treatment and solution to your problem that you can understand.
  • To respect your dignity and the choices you make.
  • To co-operate with other members of our dental team and other health care colleagues so as to act in your best interest.
  • To follow the latest cross-infection guidelines ensuring your safety is of prime concern.
  • To do all we can to keep to appointment times as we understand your time is precious.


  • To respect our appointment times and let us know as soon as possible if you cannot make an appointment in order that it may be given to someone else.
  • To pay for treatment at the end of each visit as requested.
  • To follow any advice we may give you after treatment.
  • To respect our dental team and reception staff as we respect you as a patient.
  • Failure to attend (FTAs)
  • To prevent the waste of valuable clinical time, we have the right to deregister a patient for failing to give sufficient notice (48 hours) or failing to attend an appointment. Please note that FTA fees will continue to be charged for appointments which are for private treatment upgrades.


We treat all complaints in confidence and see them as an opportunity to improve our service. Please ask for the manager, or express your concerns in writing addressed to the practice manager.

We hope that you will use our Practice Complaints Procedure.  We believe this will provide the best chance of putting right whatever has gone wrong and an opportunity to improve our practice.
